Phillip Gregory Morton III
Phillip Gregory Morton III is a 26 year old Los Angeles based photographer. At the heart of his work lies a deep seated passion for analog processes. A self-proclaimed preservationist, Phillip is fully committed to the medium and does all of his work, professional or personal, strictly analog. Self-sufficiency also plays a large roll in his photography, with all of the developing, printing, digitization, and image processing being done by him. A heavy influence from the new-topographic movement, as well as from artists such as Todd Hido, Fan Ho, and William Eggleston, heavily inform his work. Phillip's images frequently feature highly aestheticized depictions of manmade environments, often relying on mood, ethos, and ambiance more than explicit subject matter.
